Holiday Programs
Friends of Autism offer a school holiday social program every school holidays for children aged 3.5 to 18 years. Thanks to parent feedback we have decided to increase our school holiday sessions to 3 hours (instead of 2 hours), and as usual siblings are more than welcome to attend (if there are places available).
The sessions will be held by our therapists, with the assistance of Psychology and Teaching Students as well as trained volunteers. We have a range of activities organised with a strong focus on sharing and turn taking and the development of social skills whilst having fun. We would also like to incorporate a group snack time as the sessions will be longer than in the past. We ask that parents pack a piece of fruit and a favourite treat for your child. Eating in a group setting can be daunting so giving your child something you know they enjoy to eat will be comforting for them and encourage them to sit with the other kids.

- Sticky Beaks Playground Cafe: 37 Kings Park Rd, West Perth, a large open air play ground with lots of equipment and a cafe attached.
- The Beach House indoor play centre: O'Malley St (At rear of the building), Osborne Park , A favourite for many families. Try it out on a sunny day as they get very busy on rainy days and it gets a bit too loud for sensitive ears.
- This website has information on the best parks and playgrounds in Perth , it is easy to navigate and has lots of photos.
