School Age Children Programs
In Australia there are very few programs which assist school age children and government funding stops at the age of 7. We believe there is so much more for them to learn and by providing programs for school age children we aim to increase their skills, social interaction and opportunities as well as give them a higher quality of life.
We are always starting more programs so if something is not covered below please contact us to ask us how we can help.

At present we are offer the following programs:
Social Groups
After school and during school holiday's. These groups are designed for children to interact with their peers, practice social skills and have an open and quality environment for them to discuss issues in their life with our trained staff. These sessions are more casual and look to provide a social outlet and support network.

Homework Helpers
An after school program which is viable alternative to out of school care where our trained staff will work with them on social skills and assist with ensuring your child understands their homework assignments. The focus is not just on homework but so much more and is aimed at higher functioning children. They will work with any social issues they may be having including bullying, interacting and integrating with peers at school and self help and hygiene skills etc. A typical session would look like:

| 3.30 – 3.45 pm | A healthy snack | |
| 3.45 – 4.30 pm | Discussion on personal and group issues e.g. bullying, integrating at lunchtime at school, understanding social situations, gaining independence etc and may involve implementing visual supports, role plays and practicing skills | |
